Join us for the NEW FRAXEL DUAL!
The Fraxel Dual Laser System that we use at
Eden Medispa is the latest generation in skin resurfacing
technology. The Fraxel fractional laser smooths
fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin discoloration
and provides overall skin tightening. The Dual system, which was just available for physicians to purchase in late 2009, now offers two different wavelengths to more effectively provide treatments for both skin resurfacing (such as wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, smoother skin) and pigmentation issues (like sunspots, agespots, and melasma, or "the mask of pregnancy").
The Fraxel treatment is able to precisely treat thousands of microscopic areas of skin, using pinpoint laser beams that penetrate beneath the skin's surface to eliminate old, damaged skin calls. Fraxel treatment stimulates the body's own natural healing process which replaces damanged skin with fresh, glowing, healthy skin.
The Fraxel treatments can be done on many areas in addition to the face, including such delicate skin areas like the neck, chest and hands. For best results, we recommend a package of 3 to 5 treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions
At Eden Medispa, we offer a free consultation to determine the best solutions for your skin concerns and to answer any questions you may have about our Fraxel laser treatments or any other services and products. We have found the following questions are most frquently asked about the Fraxel treatments.
How does Fraxel work?
Fraxel treatment uses patented fractional technology to target damaged skin with microscopic laser columns that penetrate deep into the skin. The laser treats only a fraction of tissue at a time, leaving the surrounding tissue intact, which promotes rapid healing. The stimulates your body’s own natural healing process, replacing the old and damaged cells with fresh, glowing , healthy skin.
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone’s skin is different, but clinical studies suggest that for most people, maximum results are realized in 3 to 5 treatments. They are usually spaced 3 to 6 weeks apart.
Who can be treated with the Fraxel laser? What parts of the body can be treated?
Fraxel lasers treat women and men of all ages and skin color. Fraxel is best know for treatments of the face. However, Fraxel also works on delicate skin areas like the neck, chest and hands.
When do results appear, and how long do they last?
The results of treatment are both immediate and progressive. Soon after the treatment, the surface of your skin will feel softer, look brighter and show more even tone. The next 3 to 6 months will bring more improvement as the deeper layers of the skin continue to heal. Results can last for years depending on your age and skin condition.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe an increased sensation of heat during the treatment. We will apply a topical anesthetic ointment before the procedure and cold air is used on the treatment area during the treatment to minimize discomfort. After the treatment, most patients report a feeling similar to having too much sun. It usually disappears after 1 to 3 hours.
What side-effects can I expect after treatment and how long will they last?
You will have some degree of redness and swelling. The intensity and duration depends on how aggressive the treatment was and your particular healing characteristics. Other temporary side-effects may include minor itching, dry skin, peeling or flaking, and a bronzed skin appearance. You will be given specific instructions about what to expect for your particular treatments and how to minimize the side-effects

What is Fraxel?
Fraxel treatments use safe, fractional laser technology to treat minor to severe sun damage, such as age or sun spots, wrinkles and other signs of aging. Depending on your needs, Fraxel treatment can help prevent the signs of aging, resurface damaged skin or correct severe damage.
How long has Fraxel been available?
The first non-ablative Fraxel was first cleared by the FDA in 2003. The Dual Fraxel that we use at Eden Medispa, which now offers a deep penetrating Erbium fiber laser (1550 nm wavelength) or the new, more superficial Thulium fiber laser (1927 nm wavelength), was just introduced by the manufacturer in late 2009
